It is with sadness that I have learned the passing of a good friend. Forever fond memories of a life loving man gifted with many skills and talents. A great family man as well as a mentor unmatched in leadership skills. A living example of success thru hard work and tough decisions while enjoying life and having fun. An achiever that had the knack to surround himself with just the right people. I am lucky to have been part of his team while in division C. Sincere condolences to Norma, Peter, Wayne and family.

My deepest sympathies to all the Sturkenboom family for the sad loss of a cherished husband, father, brother, cousin and Opah, Peter. As a cousin by marriage my late husband Rod and I, hold dear the memories we have of his smiling face greeting us from his rocking chair. He astonished us with his woodworking skills, the inventive and useful gifts he gave us, and the beautiful sleds he built. He cooked the most delicious steaks on the back porch BBQ and stuffed us with fresh grown vegetables from his garden, insisting that we take still more of his produce home to Toronto. He amazed us too with the dogs he loved and harnessed to pull him, winter and summer, along the streets and canal pathways near the home he shared with his beloved wife, Norma. And all this with little thought that he was in any way exceptional. May all your memories of this dear man be as sweet as ours.
