I am grateful to have spent so much time with grandma in my youth, as well as my adulthood. I will always remember her infectious laugh, funny stories, and interest in my life. Her cooking was terrible, and she was messy in the kitchen - those that knew her well will surely laugh at this; but she loved like no other and I will always remember the conversations I had with her. One in particular was when I told her I’d met the love of my life (married 13 years now) and she looked at me, thought for a moment, then asked “is he taller than you?”, when I assured her he was, she asked if he was kind, I confirmed he was indeed kind and she said “ok good, I’m happy, when do I meet him?”. I miss her and am comforted by these chuckle-worthy moments.
