I recently moved back to Ontario from the West Coast and was really looking forward to renewing my boyhood friendship with Stan who was also known as Sonny. He was my best friend and I thought of him often. It was a shock to find out that I had waited too long to contact him.
We hung out regularly and had a lot of good times fishing, biking around and collecting copper and other metals to sell for spending money. The last time I saw him was at my brother's funeral in the 1970's when I flew in and he was kind enough to attend the funeral with his then-wife Marlene. I remember the birth of his daughter but can't remember her name.
Rest in peace, Stan. I really regret being unable to see you again to reminisce about old times and to get a chance to say goodbye.
