I have just heard that David has passed in March of last year. I met Dave in high school in Kitchener and also spent many really enjoyable days with him at Wabinaki, a summer camp near Honey Harbour, Ontario. In retrospect, our parents were probably just happy to get rid of us during those summers, but I have many treasured memories acquired on canoe trips with Dave and our other friends there. He could just do things that others could not and was a very impressive individual. I can also tell you, as you no doubt already know, that Dave was always highly respected and actually really looked up to by everyone that I knew at camp, in school and socially. Bob Stickney and I also made a point of meeting and reestablishing regular contact, by e-mail at least, with Dave when we were all well into our seventies.I am so sorry to hear of his passing and will always remember him.
