I had the great privilege of getting to know Bev years ago, when we taught together at Emily Carr. She has been one of my dearest friends ever since. She is one of the strongest, most loving and caring people I’ve ever known. Her smile, laughter and ever positive approach to life, goals, challenges and adversity will continue to be an inspiration to me. I will remember all the good times, Bev and you will always be in my heart. Sincere condolences and prayers to Pete, Karen, Ken and family.

To all of Bev's family. Bev had the most beautiful soul. We used to live around the corner from you on Heathdale Ct. Bev was my twins - Julie and Courtney MacInnes'first teacher when they switched to Byron Northview in Gr 2., about 20 yrs ago. She was a sweet person and a great teacher. She was a real supporter of Julie when she had cancer herself in Grades 5/6. We will never forget "Mrs. Yates". She was the best.
