I met Dorothy in the 90's after I became a Teacher-Librarian and she worked in the Media Centre cataloging books and assisting Bob Machan with the libraries in Lambton County. She was always so friendly and helpful to staff and students. So I was really pleased when she offered to volunteer in our library at Johnston Memorial. Dorothy, my husband John and the Librarian Ken formed a tight little group that kept the library buzzing. Dorothy was never afraid to speak her mind and they enjoyed working together. She was always so kind and such an asset to any role she took on. We have kept in touch over the years after retirement. She entertained us with many stories of her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly and was very proud of. She will be missed by all who knew her. RiP Dorothy

My sincere sympathies ro Dorothy’s Family Dorothy and I have known each other since Sunday School days. We re connected after both of our husbands passed away and have been in touch ever since.. She had a unique sense of humour even on her bad days. We had a lot of laughs intermingled with some tough times. She was a good friend and I will miss her. Thinking of all of you…Donna Wright Pickell.
