Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son, Robert James McIlwraith, at his home in Petrolia on June 27th, 2023. He is survived by his parents, Ken and Rhona, his younger brother David (spouse Pamela) and many relatives scattered around the globe.

Robert had some special needs and lived at a Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) group home for many years. He had a mischievous sense of humour, an inquisitive mind and enjoyed watching home maintenance projects being completed. Robert was always eager to help out wearing his favourite safety vest and hard hat.

Cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.

Known by many, loved by all.

Condolences to Rhona, Ken, David and family and friends of Robert. Distance prevented us from knowing Robert well, but from what we know, Robert was a loving son and brother who will have left many happy memories for his family to look back on and enjoy. So sorry to hear of Robert's passing. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. Although I hadn't seen Robert for some time I never forgot him. I was so glad to see Roberts photograph and remember him laughing and playing with Graeme in my kitchen. All my love, take care Aunt Myra.

Robert will always have special place in my heart and the memory of Robert and Graeme rolling about the floors in my mum's house and opening kitchen cupboard xxxxx
