Ken's death was a complete and unexpected shock. Ken was a true original.

He was most happy surrounded by his family, that he was proud of and adored. He spoke fondly of his mother, brother, wife and sons. He recently attended an event with his son, at the school that his son had graduated from. He said that the writing of his son suprised him. It stated that he became interested in the area that he studied, because of the time that he use to tinker with vehicles with his dad. Ken was touched by this, as his son acknowledged that the time that they had both spent together, had influenced his future choices in life.

He worked over 35 years as a letter carrier with Canada Post Corporation, He was a dedicated trade unionist, holding numerous positions with the Letter Carriers Union of Canada, followed by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.

He was an outspoken executive member of the Toronto Local Executive, CUPW and at the time of his death, he held the position as the West Area Letter Carrier's Chief Steward. In this position, he fiercely defended the membership and the collective agreement.

He was passionate about the membership that he served and would go out of his way to help members that Canada Post had exploited or abused.

The letter carriers that he came into contact had a great deal of respect for him, given Ken's knowledge, experience and thoughtful words and advice.

He loved travelling and the great outdoors. He recently had travelled to Sauble Beach to enjoy some much needed time off.

He loved his vehicles, his music, his friends and travel.

But most importantly, his priority was his family and the time that they would share and spend together.
