Dear Mr. B., Lorraine, Jo-Ann, Jacquie, Lara and Krista, I am so sorry to learn of Mrs. B's passing. During the high school and early university years that Lorraine and I spent time together I had the pleasure of being a guest in the Blondin home many times. You are such a wonderful family, and Mrs. B. was such a lovely hostess. We had some great chats in the kitchen, where she was often baking, and she was very intelligent and well-read on so many subjects. She was understandably proud of the family back garden and there were always a variety of pets (all female, as I recall) which she tended with care and would show to me. I felt for Mr. B. as, in those years, he seemed to be the only male thing living on the entire property. I'm thinking of you all at this difficult time. But what life has taught me is that our parents (or spouse in Mr. B's case) never really leave us. Love, time together, shared experiences and the lessons they give go on and on in us. May you be comforted by the love, lessons and experiences that Mrs. B. brought to your lives. From my perspective, we were all lucky to know her - she was one heck of a lady! With thoughts and prayers for all of you, Douglas
