Obituary

Passed away at peace on June 5, 2024, at Montreal General Hospital while on vacation.  She was in her 95th year.  Jean is survived by her three children, Michael (Debrah), Nancy (Jon) and Deborah (Rick).  Jean was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and 5 nephews.  Predeceased by her husband, John and her father and mother, Carl and Olive, her brother, Stan and sister, Ruth.

Jean lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.  After a 40-year career as an x-ray technician in Winnipeg and Toronto she worked on contract as a courier to keep busy and retired for good in 2010.  She lived on her own right to the end and maintained her independence.  She always had an opinion on matters of interest, and she did not suffer fools.  Her dry wit and common sense were well known and appreciated.

She was loved and will be remembered by all that were fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

Rest peacefully mom, grandma, GG and auntie.

There will be a celebration of life at Mississaugua Golf and Country Club in Mississauga on June 19 at 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
