I have so many memories of you from the years when you were in your prime. Here are a few I want to share: I remember...  Christmases, when you made boot tracks in the snow in our front yard, leading us to believe it was Santa.  Friday nights at Staply’s auction – bidding on ‘surprise’ junk boxes.  Making swish with Jay from old whiskey barrels  Giving Ricky ‘helicopter’ rides, which you referred to as ‘wham whams.’  You read Shakespeare to me  Teaching Randy to slow dance  Countless nights when you and mom slow-danced together in our living room, grossing us kids out (I also remember you loved to watch mom dance to Wooley Bully  Countless games of Rook, many of which you’d say “I shot the moon, ” and many times you’d ‘squeak by’ with a hand of non-trump cards  You making pancakes for Brianna, Michaela, Amber, and Keirston, you and mom cherished those girls!!  When you stepped on a cake at grandma’s house in Elkins and you filled it with icing and ate it anyways!  You, skipping around the table with your ‘good’ money. That’s what mom jokingly called it when she would give you some lunch money.  You, patting grandpa Wilson on the head (like on Benny Hill)  Pretending to go to the community college with grandpa Wilson to check out the girls (lol)  All the cherished memories of grandpa Greathouse staying with us during many summers.  I think Grandma Wilson said it best in the song she wrote for you, “Clyde, Clyde, you are a star in your own right. Your feet are your fortune, your toes are out of sight!! Goodbye, dad, from all of us. Ricky, me, Brianna, Michaela, Amber, Kiersten, Harper, Zaria, Levi and Carter. Please give mom, Jay, and Randy a hug for me. Until God brings our family circle back together in heaven...Goodbye.
