Dear Robin and Clare :

I don't we've met but I would like to say how very sad making it was to read of John's death... he was a lovely person. Unique actually.I worked on some of his CBC Nature of Things programmes and he was a super generous boss. A perfect gent too and interested in everything. Shan't forget the fun we had setting up his tiny English rose garden in Toronto.
