I read in today's paper the passing of Dick. I lived across the street from Pineos from 1935 to 1946. In fact, my Dad, Clarence was a cousin of Marjorie. Often wondered about Valerie and Dick over the years, and now I know. Sorry to hear of his passing - my sympathy to you all.
One of the things that has always stood out in my memory from childhood was that Dick and I had our tonsils out on the same day. I was 3 years old at the time....I am now 84. We played with Valerie and had sleepovers.
Hopefully, planning a trip to Waterville this summer with two of my sons to look around. It has been a few years.
