We are sustained in our faith by knowing that God loves all of His children. He tells us this in the book of Romans: " For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angles, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other things, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in... Our Lord." (Romans 8: 37-39) . This assurance is true; this assurance is steadfast, ; this assurance is sovereign.

It is never easy to say goodbye and most difficult to say goodbye this way. Knowing that this is not the end but the beginning of a new start we are comforted that those who sleep are only resting, awaiting the moment when God wil awaken them to enter this new beginning.

The Blessing of Rest

Everyone has a last morning
Some may know when
But most have no warning

Since your birth God will never abandon you
From the first beginning
His eyes and heart have been focused on you

No matter the occasion of our body's rest
God is near
He cuddles us to His chest

Remember, those Who sleep are truly blessed
Because God had placed them
One step ahead of all the rest.
