My eyes filled with tears seeing Carol's beauitful smile. I was shocked.. Carol was a Classmate of mine at St. Martha's School of Nursing in Antigonish : we were the last of the 3 Year RN. Program- graduating in 1971 Time spent with Carol was always filled with discussions reflecting compassion, wisdom and wit. Carol and I drove to Antigonish together to attend the last Alumni Dinner prior to the disruption caused by Covid. I remember apologizing to Carol for 'blowing by a truck'so very fast that I frightened her and promised less speed on the way home ; Carol nodded, smiled and quietly said ~" That would be good." I am privileged to have known you. You will be missed by so many.. " Some people give up on their dreams ~ Carol never did. "
