Needless to say I was taken aback by Georges passing.
Jennie and I have been in Canada for 49 years, and it seems we always knew your family, whether I was on the "giving" end so to speak or receiving end from Georges assistance in my workshop. He never hesitated to come across to Oakland and sort out what ever problem I had on one of my lathes. I never heard George say a bad word about anyone. He was always there to assist who ever needed his knowledge.
He was a gentleman to all who met him and his dry humour will be sorely missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing him.
I wish you all well at this time. I quite understand his reticence not to have a service, however difficult that may be to you all as a family.
