Dear Mary Jane and Family
Your mom was a wonderful friend to Carmel our mom. Many a Friday night mom would shop with Betty. We noticed in the paper she passed away on mom’s Birthday February 11th. They had a beautiful friendship and now they are reunited together.

You are an amazing person to have cared for your mom for so many years. She was very blessed to have you as a daughter. I know how close the two of you were and want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I would like to extend my condolences to Michael, Mark and Mary Jane on the loss of their mother. I have known Betty for a number of years and enjoyed my time with her. She was always pleasant and engaging even during the latter stage of her illness. During my visits she would always be up for a good chat about anything from the birds and squirrels outside her living room window to the content of her magazines. It was nice that she was able to remain in the comfort of her home thanks to the great effort put forth by Mary Jane who attended to her every need despite working full time. A job that was all-consuming, exhausting and fraught with worry. A job well done and no doubt will be a source of pride and satisfaction for years to come.
