U
Uncle Bert

May 22, 2016 at 8:45 AM

Maureen, Kelly and families. Just reading through Uncle Bert's obit and seeing his photos has gotten me weeping as it has really hit home that he has passed. I know he has fought his battle courageously. I will miss him, as it is another break in our family. I sure enjoyed our many times together....his stories never got old. We had a few good blueberry picking trips together. I don't it's possible for any human to be kinder than U. Bert. When I would bring him something, I was sure to leave his place with much more than I had brought. I know he was like that with numerous others......he certainly practised the motto of "sharing" as well as the "Golden Rule" towards others. I will always remember how well he cared for my loving Aunt Laura.....his wife. They were two of my favorite people and I miss them both dearly.
To Matthew, Joel, Luke and Devon.....rest assured he kept us all up to date on the accomplishments of you 4 boys.....he was so proud of you all! I know you will miss him dearly and have so many, many wonderful memories of a fantastic grandfather.
Maureen and Kelly, know that you were the apples of your father's eye, always. The memories, stories, laughter and commoradarie you all shared will help comfort you on your future life's journey. You have indeed been blessed! Love you both.....Cousin
