To All Girvan's Family:
I have fond memories of Girvan from when we both worked for the N.S. Dept. of Highways in New Glasgow. Mrs. Harrison knew that Mavis and I were expecting our first child and she gave us a bassinet that baby Girvan had slept in. Both out children used it. We had moved from New Glasgow by that time. I lost touch with Girvan after that. I later wished that we could have passed the bassinet back to Girvan and Heather. He was a true gentleman and I am so pleased that he accomplished so much.

My deepest sympathy to Girvan's family. The forestry community has lost a fine Stewart of the forest. I will remember him fondly as a student and then as a coworker. It was a pleasure to know him and worked with him at MFRS. RIP Girvan
