It is with great sadness I have just heard of Ermine's passing, she was such a joy and a pleasure to know and share your life with. She is one of the nicest people have eve had the pleasure to meet and made such a lasting impression in my life, she understood and cared. She fought and tried to make things better in life. To her family I send my condolences and to Erminie I say "thank you" for all you gave and thank you for being a friend, you will be missed. Edna

Erminie was a woman of compassion, of commitment and of action. I got to know her well when over 40 years ago, Premier Hatfield appointed her and myself along with ten other NB women to the first Advisory Council on the Status of Women. She was a joy to work with and I learned a lot from her. She has been a mentor in many ways, for me and for other members. She touched many lives positively in several fields. She will be remembered by many. And her legacy will go on for a lot of people who did not even know her.
My sincerest condolences to the members of her family who have just lost a dear mother, grand-mother, mother-in-law and a great friend.

Dear Cathy, Lee, Shelly and families,
It is with a heavy heart I send you my deepest sympathies. ‘Auntie Erminie ‘ was such a central adult in my young life in Saint John and a big influence ever after. She was the epitome of a life well lived. Her roles of wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother she lived with gusto, intelligence and class. Not only did she have these roles but she was a leader in our community and even rose to a leader in our country as a senator. A life well lived indeed and she will be deeply missed. May all your wonderful memories help you through this very difficult time.

Love, marta
