I was so devastated to hear of Ruth's passing. She and I became friends through work and she was a strong, kind, helpful, and amazing person. I was hoping to see her this past winter at the Sugar Camp but unfortunately, we could not make it. If there were moments in time I wish I could take back, this would be one of them. My thoughts and prayers are with Ruth's family and friends at this difficult time. I know she loved animals and I know Walter will be in good hands with her family. Rest in peace dear Ruth...you received your wings much too soon. Heaven has gained a true angel. I will miss you...

RIP my dear friend.

Ruth was a colleague; mentor; and, above all else, a good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and her furry companion, walter, during this difficult time.

In the words of wise Ruth, "Hard work defines you; a strong back bone supports you; and, don't ever be afraid to speak up.....just make sure you are right!"

I first met Ruth many years ago when I was a fledgling politician and lawyer. She was a gracious and very helpful individual with a true caring heart. She loved New Brunswick and she loved her family as is evident in her own words which were published with her obituary in the Daily Gleaner. Ruth fought a lot of battles over the years, and I am very sorry she has lost this one.
My deepest sympathy to family and to friends.
