It is with great sorrow the family of Anne Rogalski of Benito MB announce her passing at the age of 85.
Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Friend.
Anne was born on January 11, 1931 at home in Vesna SK to John and Bessie Lylyk, she was the youngest of five children. Anne attended school in The Pas MB the family later moved to the Swan River Valley, where Anne met Alex Rogalski. They married on May 21, 1949 and together they farmed in the Pretoria area. Anne and Alex were blessed with two children Ron and Donna.
Besides working on the family farm and raising her family, Anne also enjoyed gardening, curling, baseball and developed lasting friendships with all her neighbors. There was always a dog at her side.
In 1967 a car accident changed Anne's life and she became disabled and confined to a wheelchair. Anne never let her disability dampen her spirits, she continued to build future friendships and her love and generosity, welcoming everyone into their home. The door was always open and the coffee pot was always on.
Alex and Anne retired to Benito in 1983. They had a very active life fishing, camping and many trips to B.C. to see their children and grandchildren. She was always ready for any adventure.
After Alex's passing, Anne proceeded to live in her home for five years before moving to the Benito Personal Care Home. She was actively involved there, playing bingo, helping with baking, singing, doing arts and crafts. She always loved when the children from school came to read.
Anne was known for her wit, humour and compassion. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Anne is survived by her son Ron(Nadine) Rogalski and her daughter Donna(Joe) Lymburner, grandchildren Shana Rogalski, Tyler and Matthew Lymburner and Jodi Farrell and one great granddaughter Jamie Lymburner. Anne was predeceased by her husband Alex on April 10, 2007, her parents John and Bessie Lylyk, her siblings Justine, Harry, Nettie, Emilia and her grandson Sam Lymburner.
Anne's family wish to extend sincere thanks to the Benito Personal Care Home for the excellent loving and compassionate care our Mom received when she resided there and to the Drs and Nurses at the Swan River Valley Hospital.
In keeping with Anne's wishes, cremation has taken place and she was laid to rest next to Alex at the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Benito, MB. A service will be held at a later date.
Should friends and family so desire, donations in Anne's memory may be made to the Swan Valley Facilities Foundation (Benito Health Centre) Box 1450 Swan River, Mb. R0L 1Z0
