So saddened to hear of Benji's passing. I have many fond memories of him and the "Sunningdale Boys" (Bill Mainland, Sweet Pete McNaughton, the Limachers, Murray Finlay, Neil Saunders, and others) who accepted an outsider from the Beaver Valley into their fun-packed group. Not really sure how a kid from Montrose earned the acceptance of the Boys; it doesn't really matter, as they taught me so much about the importance of friendship... Benj especially. We also shared an apartment briefly with Dave Limacher and Tom Stocking, I think... where we made so much noise the owner kicked us out. I also remember working out with Benj at a local gym and then coming home to power cram protein in the form of scrambled eggs. Man, those were fun times. He and I shared a mutual respect for fitness, and like him, I still ride my roadie like a mad demon every chance I get. From now on, he'll be riding with me. Rest in peace, old buddy of mine and so many others!
