Our condolences to the Family. I knew Doug when I was a beginning teacher at Pen-High and later as I worked with First Nations students at Parkway. Doug was always understanding and interested in the plight of his students and did not hesitate to call on my services to help making his school a welcoming place to be. Later my wife JoAnn work for various election campaigns and appreciated his leadership in that process.
As they say... "a life well lived"!
