I first met Nancy at a union meeting in Vancouver. We had an instant connection since we were both laboratory technologists. It didn't take long to discover we both liked wine and/or vodka and lots of laughs followed. I was able to meet Larry and Connor when they visited with me in Williams Lake on their move from Prince George. Once again we had a lot of laughter. I respected Nancy professionally. She was so knowledgeable and was always eager to share. Nancy was elected to represent her members on many union committees and she always kept in mind what policies would benefit them the most. I remember taking a public speaking course with Nancy. What I was her choice of topic for our assigned speech...how to make saurkraut ! I am so sorry Nancy didn't get a long and relaxing retirement. She earned it. I will miss her.

My deepest condolences to Larry and Connor in the passing of Nancy. I have many fond memories of Nancy from my days as a medical laboratory technology student to co-worker alongside Nancy. She was funny, had a warm heart and was a terrific cook. She even tried to teach me some canning, the one who burns water :)
She was there to support my family when I lost my daughter Jennifer at 22 years young, and now is up in heaven with her toasting us down here.
Cheers Nancy ! You will be missed.
