We didn't know Devon but heard of his death through Lethbridge College where I am an older mature online student in the Correctional Studies program. I am also a Correctional Officer and my wife is a social worker. We both live in Prince George, BC and we both lost our fathers to suicide so feel the utmost empathy and understanding of the anguish you must be enduring right now as Devon's beloved parents. However, as the step father of a 28 year old son, I cannot imagine your grief losing your child. My wife and I feel compelled as suicide survivors to send our heartfelt condolences to Devon's parents and the rest of his family. Losing someone to suicide is such a complicated grief that can only be understood by those of us that have experienced such a traumatic loss. May your beautiful son Devon rest in everlasting peace.
